Carl Barat dà lezioni di moda agli Arctic
Dirty Pretty Things frontman Carl Barat has revealed that he and his fellow bandmates gave Alex Turner and co some fashion advice.
The bands met up in Scotland at the weekend during T in the Park. Barat said:
"We did give the Arctics some fashion advice. It was regarding a particular golf top that Alex was wearing.
"We do get on with Alex and the rest of the guys, but we do like to take the piss out of them too."
And it was only a few days ago that Alex Turner was spotted in his local Primark outlet - shopping for polo shirts!
The Strokes travolti dal live degli Arctic
American rockers THE STROKES were blown away by indie sensations ARCTIC MONKEYS when the bands shared the bill at this weekend's (08-09JUL06) Oxegen festival in Ireland. LAST NITE frontman JULIAN CASABLANCAS saw the I BET YOU LOOK GOOD ON THE DANCEFLOOR stars for the first time and describes them as "too f**king good". He says, "We've seen a seriously f**king great band. Arctic Monkeys, how about those guys? They're good, maybe a little too f**king good."[/b]
Jamie sul perchè non facciano bis...
"We never have coz there's no fucking point. What is the point. What's the point in making everyone stand there for two minutes while you walk off, have a sip of beer, your guitar tech comes on goes "one two one two one two" then you walk back on? You may as well turn around, have a drink, tune your guitar yourself and carry on...
We were playing for an hour and that guy came out, walked passed me and snidely goes "Disapointed!" like that. I just turned around and went "What do you mean you're disapointed?" And he went "Well you didnt play long enough didja?" I went "We just played an hour and five minutes of our first album - this albums only 40 minutes long. What the fuck else do you want us to do." Seriously."
dopo questo commento lo apprezzo ancora di più...
Sempre Jamie che ora che ha compiuto 21 anni non ha più bisogno di documenti falsi e quindi....li svende!
ARCTIC MONKEYS guitarist JAMIE COOK is auctioning off the fake ID card he used to buy alcohol on the band's recent American tour for charity. The I BET YOU LOOK GOOD ON THE DANCE FLOOR star is 20 years old and like his fellow bandmates was too young to buy alcohol on their US tour, where the legal drinking age is 21 in many states. Cook told UK radio station XFM Manchester: "You can auction this for charity. We could give you some FINDING NEMO tissues but you can have my fake ID."
