Il batterista degli Arctic Monkeys ha parlato dei piani della band per il novo album e ha rivelato che vogliono continuare sulla strada intrapresa con il recente singolo "R U Mine?" e la B-side "Evil Twin"
Parlando all' "Examiner" il batterista ha risposto ad una domanda riguardante il loro ultimo singolo dicendo: "Per ora siamo orientati a fare canzoni su questo stile. Stiamo pensando di fare un album con canzoni come "Evil Twin" e "R U Mine?"
La band attualmente è nel mezzo di un tour che sta attraversando USA e Canada come supporto ai Black Keys nel loro tour nelle arene americane e Matt Helders ha parlato anche di quanto la band sia eccitata di fare da opener ai concerti per la prima volta nella loro carriera. In proposito ha dichiarato: "Da quando abbiamo iniziato volevamo fare un tour di supporto perchè non l'abbiamo mai fatto. Abbiamo avuto delle offerte buone ma non ci siamo trovati con i tempi, in questa circostanza sarebbe stato anche stupido rifiutare perchè questo è veramente un tour grande e crediamo di aver dato il meglio nel nostro piccolo"
Il batterista ha anche parlato della nuova traccia "Electricity" che uscirà in questo mese come b-side di "R U Mine?": "Abbiamo registrato "Electricity" insieme a "You & I" e a un'altro pezzo che non poi non ci è piaciuto più, quindi abbiamo scelto "Electricity" come B-side perchè si intonava meglio con le sonorità di "R U Mine?". Tra le altre cose è l'unico pezzo che abbiamo già registrato e che nessuno ha ancora sentito"
