arctic monkeys played their second low-key gig in four days yesterday (February 13) at Leicester University Students' Union. As with their previous show in Sheffield (February 10), the show was kept under wraps until the last minute but they still managed to trigger a big queue when tickets went on sale at midday yesterday. Following a support slot from their friends The Little Flames, the band played a similar set to the Sheffield gig, showcasing a host of new songs from forthcoming album 'Favourite Worst Nightmare', with the likes of 'D Is For Dangerous' and new single 'Brianstorm' being enthusiastically received by the sold-out crowd. With old favourites like 'Dancing Shoes' and 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' also sending the audience wild, frontman Alex Turner complimented the crowd several times throughout the set, and declaring: "it's a pleasure to be here, it really is". The band played: 'This House Is A Circus' 'Balaclava' 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' 'Still Take You Home' 'Dancing Shoes' 'D Is For Dangerous' 'When The Sun Goes Down' 'From The Ritz To The Rubble' 'Fluorescent Adolescent' 'Do Me A Favour' 'A View From The Afternoon' 'Brianstorm' 'Leave Before The Lights Come On' 'What If You Were Right?' 'A Certain Romance' |

la scaletta è interessante... secondo me sarà simile pure mqui in Italia, è inevitabile che molte belle song dello scorso tour non verranno suonate |

indubbiamente farranno un mix dei due album... però basta che non facciano in maggioranza del nuovo, anche se sarà interessante sentirle, non le conosce ancora nessuno, dopo non c'è gusto... ah e per la cronaca..non possono NON fare mardy bum!!!! |

molta gente si è lamentata sui blog per l'ingresso a 19 sterline che non è tanto nello spirito di questo tipo di gig...per il resto grande apprezamento per le nuove canzoni... |
