The Last Shadow Puppets – Everything You’ve Come To Expect (il video!)

Ecco il video di Everything You’ve Come To Expect dei The Last Shadow Puppets di Alex Turner e Miles Kane.

Oggi 10 marzo Domino Records pubblica il secondo filmato dei Puppets versione 2016, dopo quello di Bad Habits del gennaio scorso.

Le sonorità sperimentate spaziano dai Beatles, ai Tame Impala, The Flaming Lips, fino ai Mini Mansions… Alex Turner rispolvera il repertorio di testi dell’epoca Humbug con gli Arctic Monkeys. Se l’album nuovo dei Last Shadow Puppets è tutto così, ci vorrà l’interprete del Parlamento Europeo per tradurlo!

TESTO E INTERPRETAZIONE DISPONIBILE DOPO IL VIDEO

Il filmato girato sulla spiaggia di Malibu, e addirittura pubblicato in 9 versioni differenti (per visionarle tutte 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 nb. lo shooting è stato effettuato praticamente dall’alba al tramonto), vede la partecipazione di questa bella figliuola, Michelle Dawley, che sembra prima tentare, e alla fine lasciar lì insabbiati, Alex e Miles.

Dando un’occhiata al testo, e notando oltretutto il vestito con tanto di strascico della ragazza, l’interpretazione più plausibile che si possa dare è che lei abbia abbandonato del tutto i suoi ragazzi del passato, lasciandoli lì, immobili nella sabbia, impossibilitati a muoversi e agire, per convolare finalmente a nozze, “tutto quello che aveva aspettato”, d’altro canto, e quello che invece i vecchi partner mai avrebbero voluto accadesse e vivere in prima persona (“I just can’t get the thought of you and him out of my head“, “Everything that you’ve come to expect, everything that I live to regret” ecc).
